Here are some pictures from Aiden's birth until now...

The Beginning

I have thought about starting a blog for a while now, but have just gotten around to it.  I just think that it is a fabulous way of saving memories to share with family and friends.  To start I would like to give a little background of the Walker family. 

Jim & I started dating a little over 5 years ago at Delta State.  I moved back home to Memphis after graduating in Dec. 2005 and Jim moved in March 2006.  We got engaged in Nov 2007 and married on July 26, 2008. On Sept. 8, 2009 we found out that we were going to have a baby!  Baby Walker was expected to arrive May 7, 2010.  To our surprise Aiden Russell made his appearance about 6 weeks early and was born on April 1, 2010 @ 4:55pm.  At only 4lbs 5oz, he was admitted to Neonatal ICU where he stayed for the first 9 days of his life (the longest 9 days of my life!!).  He was discharged on April 9th and we have been loving every bit of him since. 

Our time spent in the NICU was the most stressful time of Jim's & my life, both physically & emotionally, but was worth every minute in order to bring home our happy, healthy little boy.  Aiden is growing so much and at 8 weeks old is (I'm guessing) approximately 7lbs. In my posts to follow I will chronical his growth and our lives together as a new family.
